Meet Capt. Steve
Hello, and welcome to Into Backing!
Capt. Steven Brooks is your guide for fishing the inshore flats of Galveston, Texas. Capt. Steve specializes in shallow water sight fishing for redfish in West Bay and its marshes. Our fishery is productive year-round, and although the focus is on fall redfish; speckled trout, flounder, sheepshead, black drum, jack crevalle and alligator gar also call West Bay home.

Single angler only, 4+ hours
Our signature trip for serious anglers. The captain selects the best time and tide to fish hard during your half-day on the water. You will receive the guide's undivided attention and have the bow for the entire trip.
"The solution to any problem -work, love, money, whatever -is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be."
-John Gierach
1 or 2 anglers (max), 8+ hours
The standard guided full-day trip. A more relaxed pace for friends or family fishing together. Leaving at first safe light, the full-day trip allows us to explore more of West Bay, moving in and out of the marshes with the tide.
